In this picture above, how important is the lead dog?
How important is the dog right next to her/him?
How important is the guy controlling the reins?
How important is the snow?
common sense will not be tolerated. ... collective sense? now that's a different story.

I once drove a team of huskies, true story.
I am not surprised at all, Dan, that you once drove a team of huskies. Coming from anyone else that I have ever met, yes. From you, I'd be more shocked if you had not driven a team of muskies at some point in your journey.
You should write a book.
These sound like simple questions, but when trying to come up with a solid answer my brain turned to mush. Good leadership qualities: independant thinker, actions speak louder than words, courage, visionary, responsable. The snow: the problem that needs leadership and teamwork to get through?
The snow is the "key," Eric, not the "problem."
Maybe I'm wrong.
As for your brain turning to mush, ... oatmeal is better on the innards, ... but the horse never listens.
